Precinct Committee Leaders Select New State Senator

Connie Lawson's replacement as State Senator from District 24 has been chosen. Pete Miller defeated Kelli Waggoner 51-41 in the final vote Saturday in Hendricks County.
Lawson was recently named Secretary of State by Governor Daniels. Miller is the 4th Congressional district GOP Chair and former Hendricks County Republican Party Chairman.
A caucus to fill the general election ballot vacancy will be held shortly after the May 8th primary.
