The dedication of the Monument to Ed Whitcomb is set for Aug. 30, 2014 at 12PM EST. It will be held on the grounds of the Haden Historical Museum in Haden, Indiana. Lieutenant Gov. Sue Ellsperman will be speaking at the dedication and we certainly welcome you and all interested parties to attend.
In conjunction with the dedication and beyond, we are in the midst of a "brick campaign" whereby individuals and organizations can purchase a brick, inscribed with their personalization, for 50-$100. We are sending a letter out to each county asking for them to "buy a brick" commemorating one of Indiana's great conservative republicans and war hero's. This small donation by each county would show unity and solidarity in support of the ideals represented by this historical monument. Visitors will forever be reminded of the difference one individual made in championing conservative principles.
