Gov. Pence stops in the Summit City to talk about new drug task force

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A day after announcing his plans to create a drug task force charged with combating drug abuse and overdoses in the state, Governor Mike Pence stopped in Fort Wayne to meet with local leaders.

“We simply can’t arrest our way out of this problem,” Pence said at a press conference Wednesday morning. “This task force and the experts that we’ve assembled recognize collectively that we have to also have to address the root causes of addiction and treatment.”
