Pence lauds efforts of Kokomo Area Career Center

Gov. Mike Pence joked that students from the Kokomo Area Career Center should take notes as he spoke about the business environment they will one day be a part of in the state of Indiana.

“Indiana is the best state ever,” he said. “If you’re taking notes kids, write this down: This is the best place in America to start a business, to grow a business and get a job. The opportunity that young people have through both of the programs we’re talking about today is to learn about the opportunities that are available right here."

The governor was joined on Thursday at the career center by local superintendents, students, teachers and area officials to recognize a $75,000 Innovative CTE Curriculum grant from the Indiana Works Councils for the KACC’s CEO Program.
